Sweet Pongal

SHAKKARPONGAL / SWEET PONGAL Good day friends , I prepared Shakkarapongal / sweet pongal.A South Indian delicious sweet dish most importantly prepared during Pongal.Its also prepared as prasadam /prasad on special occasions at every South Indian homes and temples.It is one of my most favourite dish.I even don't mind standing in queue to get sweet pongal as prasadam in temples. Ingredients-: Raw Rice - 1/2 cup Moong Dal dhuli / Pasiparappu - 4-5 tbsp Jaggery / Gud / Vellam - 1/2 cup  ( depends on sweetness you want) Cashews and raisins - around 10 Cardamon - 2 Ghee / Clarified butter - 1/4 cup  + 1 tbsp  Recipe -  Dry roast 4-5 tbsp moongDal  in a kadai / vessel.Wash and clean 1/2 cup rice.Mix Dal and rice ,add 2 cups water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.In another vessel take  1/2 cup jaggery and add little water.When the jaggery get dissolved strain the mixture.Again heat the jaggery syrup and add boiled rice and Dal mixture well.Add ghee at regular intervals

Atta Laddoos

ATTA LADDOOS/WHOLEWHEAT LADOOS Good day friends. I too have been trying lots of recipes during this lockdown.Recipes made with easily available ingredients that are easy to procure and also gives taste and is healthy for us.So,t oday I made Atta laddoos.It tasted yum.I have made these laddoos many times before too but never got the best results.This time the laddoos came really good so thought of sharing with all of you.This time I made the laddoos  with only 1 glass of wholewheat flour and got around 14-15 medium sized laddoos which were a great hit with my family.I am sharing the recipe for atta laddoos for all  of you to give a try. INGREDIENTS Wholewheat flour / Atta  -1 medium sized steel glass Sugar - 1 medium sized steel glass (it has to powdered) Cardamon -2-3 Ghee / Clarified Butter - 6-8 tbsp (may need 2-3 tbsp more) Cashews and Almonds - around 8-10 each (your wish) STEP BY STEP MAKING OF ATTA LADDOOS Heat 1/2 tbsp ghee in a non-stick pan. Falooda

Falooda Hello friends, One of the most famous summer dessert is falooda ice-cream or falooda kulfi.Today I have prepared falooda with vanilla ice cream.It was on my list to do for sometime and finally I made it.It tasted yum and delicious.This is a simple recipe just you have to do a bit of preparation beforehand.Below I have given step by step recipe of falooda.I will surely add step by step pictures some other day till then follow the steps and prepare yummy falooda for yourself and your family. Recipe- 1st step Make rosemilk.In boiled &cooked milk add rose syrup or rooafzah and few spoons sugar.Let it cool in fridge. 2nd step Boil some sevaiyan/semiya/vermicelli in water.After it is cooked drain and let it cool in fridge.I used normal upma vermicelli /semiya.The original falooda used sevaiyan made of cornflour  but this works fine mostly during this covid lockdown. 3rd step Take 1 tbsp sabja seeds/chia seeds and soak in water for 20-30 minut
