Gobi Paratha

Cauliflower Paratha (Stuffed Paratha ) With the onset of winter we start getting vegetables like red carrots,fresh cauliflowers, radishes,peas.Besides making curries,vegetable stir fry with them we all love to make stuffed parathas with some of these vegetables. So,today I am sharing the recipe of a stuffed paratha made by cauliflower and carrot.We can enjoy this hot  stuffed cauliflower paratha with pickles,chutneys and curd.It can also be a tasty and quick lunch box recipe for kids and elders. Potato Cheese Balls

  Potato Cheese Balls  Hi all!! A favourite of kids.You can make this recipe of potato cheese balls with very few ingredients. INGREDIENTS Potatoes - 5-6 Cheese slices  Boiled sweetcorn -1 tbsp  Powdered black pepper- 2 tsp  Red chilli powder - 2 tsp (optional) Garam masala-1 tsp  Flour -1 tbsp  Water - As required Salt to taste Recipe -: Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker.Strain water.  In a bowl mash the potatoes.  Add corn,black pepper,red chilli powder  garam masala,salt to taste. Mix well. Make round balls with the mixture and stuff pieces of cheese or grated cheese inside. Cover well . Make a slurry of flour and water.You can add little salt and pepper to it . Dip the potato and cheese balls in slurry of flour and water mixture . Then roll in bread crumbs and deep fry in oil in medium to high heat. Once golden brown take out in tissue paper . Masala Dosa

MASALA DOSA Today's dinner everyone's favourite butter topped Masala dosa with sambar and onion & tomato chutney. Recipe For dosa- Clean ,wash and soak 2 cups boiled rice,1 cup raw rice together .In another vessel soak  3/4 cup urad Dal ,2 tsp methi seeds for 4 hours.After 4 hours grind finely in mixie.Let it ferment for 4 hrs to 5 hrs.Add salt to batter mix well.Add little water to adjust consistency. For masala Heat oil.Add 2 tsp mustard seeds,a pinch of hing,1 chopped onion,1 tsp chopped ginger,2 -3 green chillies chopped,curry leaves,1/2 chopped capsicum,2 tbsp chopped carrots,peas and saute for a while.Add turmeric powder,chilli powder,coriander powder, little salt and cook for sometime.Add 1 chopped tomato.Let it cook.Add 4-5 boiled potatoes,salt to taste, coriander leaves.Mix well.masala ready. SHAKKARPONGAL / SWEET PONGAL Good day friends , I prepared Shakkarapongal / sweet pongal.A South Indian delicious sweet dish most importantly prepared during Pongal.Its also prepared as prasadam /prasad on special occasions at every South Indian homes and temples.It is one of my most favourite dish.I even don't mind standing in queue to get sweet pongal as prasadam in temples. Ingredients-: Raw Rice - 1/2 cup Moong Dal dhuli / Pasiparappu - 4-5 tbsp Jaggery / Gud / Vellam - 1/2 cup  ( depends on sweetness you want) Cashews and raisins - around 10 Cardamon - 2 Ghee / Clarified butter - 1/4 cup  + 1 tbsp  Recipe -  Dry roast 4-5 tbsp moongDal  in a kadai / vessel.Wash and clean 1/2 cup rice.Mix Dal and rice ,add 2 cups water and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles.In another vessel take  1/2 cup jaggery and add little water.When the jaggery get dissolved strain the mixture.Again heat the jaggery syrup and add boiled rice and Dal mixture well.Add ...

Khaman Dhokla Made dhokla today.This recipe is easy and simple.Its like one of those instant breakfast recipes.Most of the ingredients are easily available at home.I have been trying this dish for sometime now but only this time i got the desired result in way of its looks and taste.You can serve this alongside green chutney .This recipe is from the state of Gujarat basically but it is liked by people all over the states of India. KIDNEY BEANS BURGER / RAJMA TIKKI  BURGER Burger has emerged as kids favourite food.So this summer vacation make a burger which is healthy and filling for kids.The burger I am sharing today is prepared with kidney beans /rajma and potatoes as main ingredients.I have also shallow fried it for consumption of less oil. INGREDIENTS BOILED KIDNEY BEANS /RAJMA -1 CUP BOILED POTATOES-5-6 GREEN CHILLIES -3 ONIONS-2 TOMATO-1 CHILLI POWDER -1 TSP CORIANDER POWDER -1 TSP CUMIN POWDER -1 TSP BREAD CRUMBS -1 CUP GARLIC -4 CHAAT MASALA -1 TSP GARAM MASALA -1 TSP OIL- 2 TBSP BUTTER - AS NEEDED MAYONAISSE - AS NEEDED TOMATO SAUCE - AS NEEDED CHEESE - AS NEEDED SALT TO TASTE   STEP BY STEP PROCESS WITH PICTURES We shall boil kidney beans /rajma with little salt upto fiv to six whistles.Similarly we shall boil potatoes too.  We shall run the boiled rajma and potatoes in mixie to crush them.Just one pulse in mixer is okay .Don't over run the mixie...
