Instant Jalebi

  Instant Jalebi  I had made these juicy jalebis long back.Just thought of updating it now.No doubt it was very tasty.😋I had tried it before many times but met with failure but this time it turned out very good.Its not that tough if we maintain right consistency of batter. INGREDIENTS Plain flour/Maida -1/2 cup Curd -1/4 cup  Baking Soda -1/4 teaspoon Water -as required  Sugar - 1&1/2 cup  Orange colour - a pinch (optional)  Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon  How I Made   In a bowl take 1/2 cup maida.  Add1/4 cup curd to it. Also add 1/4 tsp baking soda.  Mix all well together.   Now make a batter adding very little water. Rest the batter for 15 min.  Preparing Syrup  Take 1&1/2 cup sugar .  Let it boil for sometime.  Make 1 string consistency syrup.  Add colour and 1 tsp lemon juice.  Chamcham  (A sweet made of paneer /Chena) Good day everyone!! Today sharing a sweet dish made of paneer .Its a famous Bengali sweet which I have eaten in restaurants many times . So one fine day I thought of trying this sweet in my kitchen. I don't know if I really got that authentic taste or not but I can assure you that these sweets tasted yum .The two highlights of this sweet that I made is that firstly I used toned milk to make paneer/cheese and secondly I made homemade mava with milk powder (this recipe I shall share later).I didn't have dry coconut powder so I used fresh scraped coconut and dry roasted in a Kadai . Green Moong Gram Laddoos

  Green Moong Dal Laddoos  Good day everyone!! Today sharing another winter food made of green Moong Dal and jaggery. This sweet is full of fibres and proteins .You can prepare this in a bunch and give it to your kids for their healthy development .The jaggery gives a mild sweetness and uplifts the taste too. This recipe requires very few ingredients and all will be easily available at home. INGREDIENTS  Green Moong Dal - 1 & 1/4 big steel glass ( Around 200-220 g) Jaggery - chopped to small pieces 1 big steel glass (used the same glass for measurement) Cashew nuts - 6-7 Cardamon -2 or 3 Ghee / Clarified Butter - 4 tbsp  STEP BY STEP RECIPE Firstly measure 1 and 1/4 steel glass green gram or green Moong Dal and dry roast in a wok or Kadai for 5 - 6 minutes .Be careful not to change the colour or overbrown them.   Healthy  Jaggery-Peanut Laddoos. Good day everyone!! Today sharing another laddoo recipe which needs very few ingredients and can be made in a jiffy.Best part of this recipe is we are not going to use sugar but use healthier jaggery instead.It will be a good  school snack or evening snack for kids or adults with sweet tooth .I have another peanut recipe in my blog which is a traditional one .You can find it in menu with title "Types of Laddoos".   CHOCOLATE MUFFINS  Good day all, After some time posting again .Today sharing recipe of chocolate muffins .I made this using normal flour this time and it came very good.Next time I will try making this using Whole-wheat flour. This recipe requires very few ingredients and can be made really fast too. INGREDIENTS White Flour /Maida -1 cup  Powdered Sugar - 3/4 cup  Cocoa powder -4 tbsp  Baking powder - 1 tsp  Baking soda - 1/2 tsp  Salt - a pinch  Instant coffee powder -1 tsp  Milk - 1 cup  Oil - 1/3 cup  Vinegar - 1 tsp  Vanilla essence - few drops (I didn't have this so skipped this .So for flavour I added instant coffee) How I Made (RECIPE)- Sift flour / maida,baking powder,baking soda,cocoa powder, instant coffee together and keep aside. Oats Energy Bars

 OATS ENERGY BAR Hi all, Finally tried energy bars .Made this with oats,dry fruits,sesame seeds, cornflakes,jaggery etc.Was very tasty😋 INGREDIENTS Oats (Kellogg's)- 1 big steel glass Jaggery -1 big steel glass Dry fruits - 1 small cup (chopped into pieces like almonds cashews raisins and peanuts).you can also use pistas,melon seeds. Sesame seeds -1 tbsp Cornflakes - a handful Ghee to grease plate How I made it- Dry roast 1 cup/1 steel glass oats.keep aside. Dry roast handfuls of dry fruits chopped to small pieces (I used almonds,cashews,raisins,peanuts).keep aside  Dry roast 1 tbsp sesame seeds.keep aside. Now take 1 cup/glass jaggery broken into pieces. Heat kadai and add jaggery and little water.once the jaggery dissolves strain it. Reheat the strained syrup for 5 minutes.In a bowl of water add little syrup if the jaggery syrup forms thin undissolved strings then switch off gas. Atta and Oats Cake

 EGGLESS ATTA AND OATS CAKE Hi all, After long time tried cake in cooker .Made this cake with atta,oats,milk. The taste was very good. INGREDIENTS -: Atta / Whole-wheat flour -1&1/2 cups Oats - 1/2 cup Milk -1 cup + more Curd - 1/2 cup Custard powder -1 tbsp Oil - 1/2 cup Baking soda -1/2 tsp Baking powder - 1 tsp Vanilla essence - 2 drops  RECIPE-: In a mixie jar grind 1&1/2 cup atta,1/2 cup oats,1 cup sugar(can increase to 1 & 1/2 cup),1/2 cup curd,1 tbsp custard powder,1 cup milk (add little by little) together.keep the batter aside for 7-10  minutes. You can also  add tutti fruitti and nuts like cashews,raisins and almonds to this cake.chop the nuts.In a bowl take handful of nuts and tutti fruitti and add 1/2 tsp atta over it and mix well keep aside. Dharwad Peda

 DHARWAD PEDA Tried making the famous Karnataka sweet - Dharwad peda .It tasted very good. Recipe- Make paneer with 1 litre milk.(Full cream is best but I used toned milk) After 10 min take the paneer in a nonstick pan. Add 1 tbsp ghee and 3 tbsp sugar. Keep roasting till the colour of paneer changes to dark brown.It may take 10-12 minutes in low flame . Also Keep adding 3 -4 tbsp milk after some intervals. Once the paneer changes colour let it cool and grind in mixie. Again take the powder in pan and roast for 5 more minutes.Add 3 tbsp milk and 1 tbsp sugar. After 5 minutes make shapes with the mixture when it's warm. Coat the shapes with powdered sugar. MANGO SANDESH

MANGO SANDESH Good    day everyone; This summer I tried to make some new recipes with mangoes.Generally before that I always made mango shakes but this time I tried sandesh with mangoes and believe me they tasted yum.In this recipes I used mangoes chopped into pieces and did not grind or cook them.Its a very simple recipe with mango.Sandesh is a paneer based Bengali dish.With paneer made from 1 litre milk I got 7 pieces of this sweet.                   Ingredients  Milk -1 litre (I used cow's milk) Ripe mango -1 big Almonds/cashews -for decoration Sugar -4 tbsp Cardamon-1 Ghee -1 tsp Recipe -  Make paneer with 1 litre cow's milk. Mash paneer well for 10 minutes. Mix 4 tbsp sugar (acc to ur taste).Mix well. In a non stick pan add 1 tsp ghee. Put this paneer mixture and saute for 3-4 minutes. SHAKKARPONGAL / SWEET PONGAL Good day friends , I prepared Shakkarapongal / sweet pongal.A South Indian delicious sweet dish most importantly prepared during Pongal.Its also prepared as prasadam /prasad on special occasions at every South Indian homes and temples.It is one of my most favourite dish.I even don't mind standing in queue to get sweet pongal as prasadam in temples. Falooda Hello friends, One of the most famous summer dessert is falooda ice-cream or falooda kulfi.Today I have prepared falooda with vanilla ice cream.It was on my list to do for sometime and finally I made it.It tasted yum and delicious.This is a simple recipe just you have to do a bit of preparation beforehand.Below I have given step by step recipe of falooda.I will surely add step by step pictures some other day till then follow the steps and prepare yummy falooda for yourself and your family. The market shakkarpare is made very thick but we prepare it like general nimkis and dip in sugar syrup.For making dough you can add butter,ghee or oil .My mom-in -law generally uses butter to make snacks so I used Amul butter to make this dish.You can use butter of any brand.You can also avoid pinch of salt when adding salty butter.
