Hi all,

After long time tried cake in cooker .Made this cake with atta, oats, milk. The taste was very good.

INGREDIENTS -:

Atta / Whole-wheat flour -1&1/2 cups

Oats - 1/2 cup

Milk -1 cup + more

Curd - 1/2 cup

Custard powder -1 tbsp

Oil - 1/2 cup

Baking soda -1/2 tsp

Baking powder - 1 tsp

Vanilla essence - 2 drops

 RECIPE-:

In a mixie jar grind 1&1/2 cup atta,1/2 cup oats,1 cup sugar(can increase to 1 & 1/2 cup),1/2 cup curd,1 tbsp custard powder,1 cup milk (add little by little) together.keep the batter aside for 7-10  minutes.

You can also  add tutti fruitti and nuts like cashews, raisins and almonds to this cake.chop the nuts.In a bowl take handful of nuts and tutti fruitti and add 1/2 tsp atta over it and mix well keep aside.

After 7-10 minutes  add 1 tsp baking powder,1/2 tsp baking soda.(I have used common rice eating steel spoon of which I took 1 spoon of baking powder and 1/2 tsp of of baking soda.I have not taken it heaped though.) to the batter and mix well.Add dry fruits and tutti frutti to batter and mix well . If the batter looks dry you can add milk to adjust consistency of batter.

Grease the cake tin with oil and sprinkle some atta over it and dust atta over the oil and cover it well .Take out extra atta .Your cake tin is ready. If you want you can place greased butter paper too for easily taking out cake.

Now pour the batter in greased baking tin .You can add tutti fruitti, nuts (mixed with atta) on top of batter too.

Heat cooker at high for 5 minutes with a steel stand inside.(no whistle,no gasket).

After 5 minutes tap the cake tin with batter to take out air bubbles and gently place on stand and close the lid .After 5 minutes in high heat slowly turn the gas knob  to low heat .

Check the cake after 40 minutes .You may insert a knife or skewer to check if its done.If the batter sticks to knife let the cake cook more .If its not sticking your cake is ready. It may take 45-50 minutes .

Let the cake stay in gas cooker for 5 more minutes. After the cake cools well demould the cake.

Your moist and healthy atta and Oats Cake is ready.Once the cake is cooled well slice into pieces and serve.
