Potato Cheese Balls

  Potato Cheese Balls  Hi all!! A favourite of kids.You can make this recipe of potato cheese balls with very few ingredients. INGREDIENTS Potatoes - 5-6 Cheese slices  Boiled sweetcorn -1 tbsp  Powdered black pepper- 2 tsp  Red chilli powder - 2 tsp (optional) Garam masala-1 tsp  Flour -1 tbsp  Water - As required Salt to taste Recipe -: Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker.Strain water.  In a bowl mash the potatoes.  Add corn,black pepper,red chilli powder  garam masala,salt to taste. Mix well. Make round balls with the mixture and stuff pieces of cheese or grated cheese inside. Cover well . Make a slurry of flour and water.You can add little salt and pepper to it . Dip the potato and cheese balls in slurry of flour and water mixture . Then roll in bread crumbs and deep fry in oil in medium to high heat. Once golden brown take out in tissue paper .  Tutti Frutti Cupcakes (Made with whole-wheat) Hi all!! Today sharing recipe of whole-wheat tutti - frutti cupcakes .I have used regular atta that we use to prepare chappatis/Parathas for this recipe.This recipe requires few ingredients and moreover it takes very less time to prepare too . These cupcakes turned out good .You can prepare these cupcakes for tea time snacks or for kids birthday parties. INGREDIENTS REQUIRED Atta-1&1/2 cups Vinegar-1 tbsp Milk-1/4 cup +1/2 cup Sugar -1 cup Baking soda-1/2  tsp Baking powder-1 tsp Oil-1/4 cup Vanilla essence Tutti frutti-1/4 cup(as per choice) HOW I MADE In 1/4 cup milk add 1 tbsp vinegar and mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes. Green Moong Gram Laddoos

  Green Moong Dal Laddoos  Good day everyone!! Today sharing another winter food made of green Moong Dal and jaggery. This sweet is full of fibres and proteins .You can prepare this in a bunch and give it to your kids for their healthy development .The jaggery gives a mild sweetness and uplifts the taste too. This recipe requires very few ingredients and all will be easily available at home. INGREDIENTS  Green Moong Dal - 1 & 1/4 big steel glass ( Around 200-220 g) Jaggery - chopped to small pieces 1 big steel glass (used the same glass for measurement) Cashew nuts - 6-7 Cardamon -2 or 3 Ghee / Clarified Butter - 4 tbsp  STEP BY STEP RECIPE Firstly measure 1 and 1/4 steel glass green gram or green Moong Dal and dry roast in a wok or Kadai for 5 - 6 minutes .Be careful not to change the colour or overbrown them.   Healthy  Jaggery-Peanut Laddoos. Good day everyone!! Today sharing another laddoo recipe which needs very few ingredients and can be made in a jiffy.Best part of this recipe is we are not going to use sugar but use healthier jaggery instead.It will be a good  school snack or evening snack for kids or adults with sweet tooth .I have another peanut recipe in my blog which is a traditional one .You can find it in menu with title "Types of Laddoos". INGREDIENTS Peanuts-1 big steel glass Jaggery/Gud -1 or 3/4 big steel glass crushed jaggery Ghee - 1 tbsp (for flavour)(optional) Roasted Sesame seeds -1/4 glass +1 tbsp Powdered Cardamon /ilaichi - 2 tsp Step by step process Measure 1 big steel  glass peanuts.Dry roast them in a kadai/wok.Take out the skin and let cool. Oats Energy Bars

 OATS ENERGY BAR Hi all, Finally tried energy bars .Made this with oats,dry fruits,sesame seeds, cornflakes,jaggery etc.Was very tasty😋 INGREDIENTS Oats (Kellogg's)- 1 big steel glass Jaggery -1 big steel glass Dry fruits - 1 small cup (chopped into pieces like almonds cashews raisins and peanuts).you can also use pistas,melon seeds. Sesame seeds -1 tbsp Cornflakes - a handful Ghee to grease plate How I made it- Dry roast 1 cup/1 steel glass oats.keep aside. Dry roast handfuls of dry fruits chopped to small pieces (I used almonds,cashews,raisins,peanuts).keep aside  Dry roast 1 tbsp sesame seeds.keep aside. Now take 1 cup/glass jaggery broken into pieces. Heat kadai and add jaggery and little water.once the jaggery dissolves strain it. Reheat the strained syrup for 5 minutes.In a bowl of water add little syrup if the jaggery syrup forms thin undissolved strings then switch off gas. Onion Pakoras

ONION PAKORAS With the advent of rainy season one of the most sought out snacks is pakoras.So, today sharing an evergreen recipe of crispy onion pakoras. INGREDIENTS BESAN/GRAM FLOUR-1 cup Onions-2 big Green chillies-1 Red chilli powder-2 tsp(according to taste) Turmeric-1 tsp Salt-as per taste Curry leaves/Coriander leaves Ajwain/Carom seeds-1/2 tsp Water-as needed Oil-as required Recipe : In a bowl take 1 cup besan. In it add red chilli powder, turmeric,salt, ajwain.Mix well. Add chopped or sliced onions and green chillies.You can avoid chillies if making for children. Add very little water and make a batter of thick consistency. Heat oil.  Take small portions in palm and deep fry in oil in medium heat.Turn sides and cook pakoras till brown and crisp. KIDNEY BEANS BURGER

KIDNEY BEANS BURGER / RAJMA TIKKI  BURGER Burger has emerged as kids favourite food.So this summer vacation make a burger which is healthy and filling for kids.The burger I am sharing today is prepared with kidney beans /rajma and potatoes as main ingredients.I have also shallow fried it for consumption of less oil. INGREDIENTS BOILED KIDNEY BEANS /RAJMA -1 CUP BOILED POTATOES-5-6 GREEN CHILLIES -3 ONIONS-2 TOMATO-1 CHILLI POWDER -1 TSP CORIANDER POWDER -1 TSP CUMIN POWDER -1 TSP BREAD CRUMBS -1 CUP GARLIC -4 CHAAT MASALA -1 TSP GARAM MASALA -1 TSP OIL- 2 TBSP BUTTER - AS NEEDED MAYONAISSE - AS NEEDED TOMATO SAUCE - AS NEEDED CHEESE - AS NEEDED SALT TO TASTE   STEP BY STEP PROCESS WITH PICTURES We shall boil kidney beans /rajma with little salt upto fiv to six whistles.Similarly we shall boil potatoes too.  We shall run the boiled rajma and potatoes in mixie to crush them.Just one pulse in mixer is okay .Don't over run the mixie...
