Today sharing an easy sweet recipe called ''Besan ki Burfi''.Though its made of gramflour / besan its texture and taste is vry different from that of Mysore Pak.Although this sweet can be made under 20-25 minutes it needs some time to set.Once its set you can cut them in shapes and enjoy.Lets get started.


INGREDIENTS

BESAN /GRAM FLOUR -1 CUP
SOOJI /SEMOLINA -1/2 CUP
POWDERED SUGAR -1 CUP (a little less is also ok)
ALMONDS /CASHEWS-2 TBSP (CHOPPED INTO SMALL PIECES)
CARDAMON -2
CLARIFIED BUTTER /GHEE-1//2 CUP


                   STEP BY STEP PREPARATION WITH PICTURES



                   Heat 1/2 cup ghee in a nonstick pan and add 1 cup besan / gram flour,1/2 cup semolina/sooji to it and roast in low flame for 5-7 minutes.




After the besan and sooji is roasted well add powdered sugar,chopped almonds and cashews and cook till th mixture comes together as dough.If you feel the mixture is dry then you can add little milk or some more ghee.




                                                          Add cardamon powder.


                                When the mixture leaves the pan and comes together pour in greased tray and let it set for 1 hr or 2.


                                Sprinkle some chopped almonds and cashews.Let it set for sometime.




                       


                                      Once the burfi is set cut into required shapes.



             Serve and enjoy.You can store in a container and enjoy for a week .
