SOOJI DRY FRUITS GUJIYA /SWEET SOMAS











Hello friends,
Today sharing a very famous Indian sweet named Gujiya.The main attraction of this dish is the crispy outer covering with sweet filling made of mawa,sooji ,dryfruits.In this recipe I am making a filling with only semolina ie sooji and dry fruits and 1 tbsp of roasted chana.If you want you can alao add grated coconut to the filling.Just dry roast 2 tbsp scraped coconut a bit in kadai.Lets start .Hope you like it.


INGREDIENTS
MAIDA /PLAIN FLOUR - 1 BIG STEEL GLASS
SEMOLINA /SOOJI /RAVA - 1/2 STEEL GLASS
SUGAR - 1/2 STEEL GLASS
ROASTED CHANA -2 TBSP
OIL - 4 TBSP AND FOR FRYING
COLD WATER -AS NEEDED
CASHEWS/RAISINS -AS PER YOUR TASTE
CARDAMON -3 -4
GHEE -2 -3 TBSP



 Take maida in a bowl .Add 4 tbsp of oil.Crumble well .Then with help of cold water prepare a dough.











                                 Apply oil on dough and keep it rested upto half an hour.


In a wok/kadai add 1 tbsp of ghee/clarified butter.Roast semolina.





     When semolina is roasted well .Switch off gas and add add roasted chana.. 


 Now in a mixie jar take roasted semolina,chana and cardamon.Add sugar and grind to fine powder.





In 1 tbsp ghee roast cashews and raisins.










                   Add ghee roasted cashews and raisins in gujiya filling. Gujiya filling is ready.



                                   Take a portion of dough .Make  pooris.
                       







                                                                                                                                                                                                                    Apply oil on moulds and then make gujiyas.













                                           Similarly you can do without mould too.





Deep fry in medium hot oil.Keep the gas flame low.



                                       Tasty Gujiyas are ready. Cool and then store in air tight container.

ASPARAGUS BEANS/BARBATTI SABZI /PORIYAL Preparation Time-10 min Cooking Time -10 -15 min Ingredients Long beans/Asparagus beans/ Barbatti-250 g Dry red chillies-2 Mustard seeds-1 tsp White urad dal-1 tsp Turmeric-a pinch Hing-a pinch Salt-to taste Water-4 tbs Oil-2 tps Coconut-to garnish Process 1) Firstly wash and then finely chop the beans. 2) Heat oil in kadai .After it heats add mustard seeds ,urad dal,red chillies,hing.Saute for half a minute. 3) Add chopped  asparagus beans ,little water and mix well. 4) Add  salt to taste and cover it to cook in steam. 5) Cover the kadai to let the sabzi cook in steam. 6) Keep checking inbetween  to see that the veggies are soft and cooked . 7) Cook for few minutes till the water is soaked .Keep stirring in between. 8) Our sabzi is ready .We can garnish with coconut . 9) Asparagus beans /Barbatti is ready to be eaten with rice,sambar or with dal and roti
