MIX VEG WITH RED RADISH





With the red radish I thought of making a curry .I had few vegetables too so tried a curry by adding some  with the red radish .The curry tasted good alongwith paratha.Hope you will like it.


INGREDIENTS

Red Radish -250 g
Cauliflower - few florets
Potatoes - 3
Onions -2
Green chillies-2
Grated Ginger /Garlic - 1tsp
Tomatoes -2
Peas -1/4 cup
Cumin seeds -1 tsp
Mustard Oil -1 tbsp
Turmeric - 1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala - 1 tsp
Salt -to taste


Preparation time - 10 min
Cooking time -20 -25 min
Serves-4 -5


Procedure

 Firstly wash ,clean and chop veggies into small pieces.Grate ginger garlic.












Heat oil and add cumin seeds .I have used mustard oil but you can use any refined oil too.



 Once the cumin seeds crackle add chopped onions,green chillies and grated ginger and garlic. onions



                                         Once the onions are cooked add tomatoes.Saute for sometime.


                Once tomatoes are cooked ,one by one add chopped cauliflower,potatoes,red radish ,its leaves.


Add peas, turmeric,red chilli powder and coriander powder.Saute for some time.Close the lid and let veggies get cooked in steam.







                              Once the veggies are half cooked add salt to taste.Close the lid and let the veggies get cooked.



When the veggies are cooked 90% add little water.Close the lid and cook.



                                                          Now the veggies are cooked.


 Add 1 tsp garam masala and let the curry cook for three to four minutes.




Mix veg with red radish is ready .You can serve it with paratha,pooris or even rice.

Sweet Pongal

SHAKKARPONGAL / SWEET PONGAL Good day friends , I prepared Shakkarapongal / sweet pongal.A South Indian delicious sweet dish most importantly prepared during Pongal.Its also prepared as prasadam /prasad on special occasions at every South Indian homes and temples.It is one of my most favourite dish.I even don't mind standing in queue to get sweet pongal as prasadam in temples.
