GREEN BEANS PORIYAL







Friends,
A traditional South Indian dish prepared in every important functions with beans called 'Beans poriyal.'A simple but tasty dish .You can serve this alongside sambar,mor kozhambu,kadi,rasam etc.
Hope you will like it.

INGREDIENTS

GREEN BEANS - 200 g
MUSTARD SEEDS /SARSON -1 TSP
SPLIT BLACK GRAM /URAD DAL -1/2 TSP
GREEN CHILLIES -2
SCRAPED COCONUT -1 TBSP
CURRY LEAVES - AS NEEDED
ASOFOETIDA /HING -A PINCH
OIL -2 TSP
WATER -TO COOK BEANS



PREPARATION TIME -10 MIN
COOKING TIME -15 MIN
SERVES -2 -3 PPL
CUISINE -SOUTH INDIAN







Process -

Heat 2 tsp oil .
Add mustard seeds ,urad dal and curry leaves.


      Add chopped beans .
      


               Add salt and turmeric.


Add 1/2 glass water .
Close the lid and let the beans get cooked.




In the meantime grind coconut and 
green chillies to coarse paste.

                                     

                                            






When the beans are cooked well add this coconut and chillies paste .Mix well and cook for a two to three minutes then switch off gas.






                       Beans poriyal is ready .

  Potato Cheese Balls  Hi all!! A favourite of kids.You can make this recipe of potato cheese balls with very few ingredients. INGREDIENTS Potatoes - 5-6 Cheese slices  Boiled sweetcorn -1 tbsp  Powdered black pepper- 2 tsp  Red chilli powder - 2 tsp (optional) Garam masala-1 tsp  Flour -1 tbsp  Water - As required Salt to taste Recipe -: Boil potatoes in a pressure cooker.Strain water.  In a bowl mash the potatoes.  Add corn,black pepper,red chilli powder  garam masala,salt to taste.
