Instant Jalebi

  Instant Jalebi  I had made these juicy jalebis long back.Just thought of updating it now.No doubt it was very tasty.😋I had tried it before many times but met with failure but this time it turned out very good.Its not that tough if we maintain right consistency of batter. INGREDIENTS Plain flour/Maida -1/2 cup Curd -1/4 cup  Baking Soda -1/4 teaspoon Water -as required  Sugar - 1&1/2 cup  Orange colour - a pinch (optional)  Lemon juice - 1 teaspoon  How I Made   In a bowl take 1/2 cup maida.  Add1/4 cup curd to it. Also add 1/4 tsp baking soda.  Mix all well together.   Now make a batter adding very little water. Rest the batter for 15 min.  Preparing Syrup  Take 1&1/2 cup sugar .  Let it boil for sometime.  Make 1 string consistency syrup.  Add colour and 1 tsp lemon juice.  Tutti Frutti Cupcakes (Made with whole-wheat) Hi all!! Today sharing recipe of whole-wheat tutti - frutti cupcakes .I have used regular atta that we use to prepare chappatis/Parathas for this recipe.This recipe requires few ingredients and moreover it takes very less time to prepare too . These cupcakes turned out good .You can prepare these cupcakes for tea time snacks or for kids birthday parties. INGREDIENTS REQUIRED Atta-1&1/2 cups Vinegar-1 tbsp Milk-1/4 cup +1/2 cup Sugar -1 cup Baking soda-1/2  tsp Baking powder-1 tsp Oil-1/4 cup Vanilla essence Tutti frutti-1/4 cup(as per choice) HOW I MADE In 1/4 cup milk add 1 tbsp vinegar and mix well and keep aside for 10 minutes.  Chamcham  (A sweet made of paneer /Chena) Good day everyone!! Today sharing a sweet dish made of paneer .Its a famous Bengali sweet which I have eaten in restaurants many times . So one fine day I thought of trying this sweet in my kitchen. I don't know if I really got that authentic taste or not but I can assure you that these sweets tasted yum .The two highlights of this sweet that I made is that firstly I used toned milk to make paneer/cheese and secondly I made homemade mava with milk powder (this recipe I shall share later).I didn't have dry coconut powder so I used fresh scraped coconut and dry roasted in a Kadai . Green Moong Gram Laddoos

  Green Moong Dal Laddoos  Good day everyone!! Today sharing another winter food made of green Moong Dal and jaggery. This sweet is full of fibres and proteins .You can prepare this in a bunch and give it to your kids for their healthy development .The jaggery gives a mild sweetness and uplifts the taste too. This recipe requires very few ingredients and all will be easily available at home. INGREDIENTS  Green Moong Dal - 1 & 1/4 big steel glass ( Around 200-220 g) Jaggery - chopped to small pieces 1 big steel glass (used the same glass for measurement) Cashew nuts - 6-7 Cardamon -2 or 3 Ghee / Clarified Butter - 4 tbsp  STEP BY STEP RECIPE Firstly measure 1 and 1/4 steel glass green gram or green Moong Dal and dry roast in a wok or Kadai for 5 - 6 minutes .Be careful not to change the colour or overbrown them.   Cauliflower Sabji  Good day everyone!! Winter has set in many parts of India and one of the most common veggies  of this season is cauliflower and green peas.Today sharing a healthy version of cauliflower gravy/Sabji to go along side rice, rotis , puris etc. The healthy part is that to make this gravy I used only 1 tsp of oil. The taste was also very good .   Tomato Chutney Good day everyone!! Today sharing another quick recipe of chutney made with tomatoes.Its an easy and quick recipe.It can be prepared in ten minutes .You can prepare this when you are lazy to prepare vegetable side dish or are out of vegetables at home.It goes well with khichuri,stuffed parathas,plain parathas. INGREDIENTS Tomatoes -2-3 Green Chillies -1 or two (slit or chopped into big pieces) Red Chilli powder -2 tsp Turmeric -1 tsp Oil - 2 tsp Mustard seeds -1 tsp Water -As required Salt - As per taste STEP By STEP RECIPE Heat oil. Add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds. Add slit green chillies,chopped 2 or 3 tomatoes, turmeric powder, 2 teaspoon chilli powder,salt to taste. Once the tomatoes get cooked add enough water.   Healthy  Jaggery-Peanut Laddoos. Good day everyone!! Today sharing another laddoo recipe which needs very few ingredients and can be made in a jiffy.Best part of this recipe is we are not going to use sugar but use healthier jaggery instead.It will be a good  school snack or evening snack for kids or adults with sweet tooth .I have another peanut recipe in my blog which is a traditional one .You can find it in menu with title "Types of Laddoos".
