RECIPE WITH STEP BY STEP PICTURES

Take 1 steel glass of kidney bean/rajma .Rinse with water and then soak in water for 6-8 hrs or overnight. In case of emergency you can also soak the rajma in hot water for 2-3 hrs and then cook.

Now we shall add a tsp of turmeric and salt in soaked Rajma and pressure cook up to 4-5 whistles till they are cooked.

Now for masala we shall grind onions, green chillies garlic and ginger to a fine paste.

Grind tomatoes to fine paste too.

Heat oil .Add cumin seeds and dry whole spices.
Then add ready onion paste.Saute for few minutes.
Add turmeric, chilli powder, salt and coriander powder.

Once the onion and spices are cooked we shall add tomato paste.

We shall cover the lid and let the spices get cooked.

Once the spices are well cooked we shall add boiled Rajma.
(In my case the water I used for boiling Rajma was exact for the consistency I wanted so I added all of them together. You can add Rajma first then add water according to the consistency you want.)

Close the lid and cook for ten minutes or so.
Keep the gas flame low and keep stirring in between.

Rajma Masala is ready .Add coriander leaves for flavour.

                                               Serve hot with rice,chappatis,parathas.
