FLOWER MATHRI




A savoury which you can make and serve as evening snack alongwith tea.The unique shape of flower do give  an attractive look to the snack .


INGREDIENTS
PLAIN FLOUR-1 CUP
BLACK PEPPERCORNS -8-10
CARROM SEEDS /AJWAIN -1 TSP
SALT -TO TASTE
WATER -AS REQUIRED
OIL-2-3 TBSP



                                  A quick recipe update


In a mixing bowl take 1 cup plain flour,add 1 tsp crushed black peppercorns,carrom seeds,salt to taste.Mix them together.Add 4 tbsp oil.Crumble well with fingers.Add little by little water to make a stiff dough.Apply oil and rest the dough for 15-20 minutes.Roll out the dough like chappati.Make circles with help of bowl or bottle cap.Make slits and form flower shape.Deep fry in oil both sides till brown and crisp.Flower Mathri ready.



PROCESS WITH STEP BY STEP PICTURES

In a mixing bowl take flour.Add salt,crushed black pepper,crrom seeds.Mix all together.

                                     






                                     Now add oil to the flour  and crumble well with fingers.


                                         
             
                                     
                                           

                                                You must be able to bind the flour together.



       Now with help of little water make stiff dough.Apply oil and rest it for 15 to 20 minutes.
                                         



        Then make small portions fro the dough and roll them into thin chappati.






 Now with help of small bowl or bottle cap make circles  Now make slits in the circle leaving  the middle portion.Make petals out of slits.Give the circular dough a flower shape.







             If you want you can attach  black peppercorns in the centre of the flower.


             Deep fry in oil till brown and crispy both sides.The gas flame must be in low flame.



                                     








                                      After flower mathris cool keep in air tight container
