BEETROOT PORIYAL                                                             Hi friends, Winter is near and whole lot of vegetables can be found this season.One of them being healthy and colourful beetroot.I am sharing here traditional beetroot poriyal with a bit of my personal touch.It can be made very easily with very few items. INGREDIENTS Boiled Beetroot-2 Green chillies-2 Turmeric-1/4 tsp Mustard seeds-1 tsp Black split gram/Urad dal-1 tsp Curry leaves-3-4 Grated coconut-1 tbsp Salt-to taste Firstly boil the whole beetroot in cooker .It will be cooked in 3-4 whistles.Alternatively you can boil whole beetroot along with dal in cooker.(I precisely did the latter ).Peel the boiled beetroot.                            ...

Rava Laddoo/Sooji Laddoo/Semolina Laddoo Hi friends, One of the traditional recipe of South India prepared during Diwali .My mother's Rava Laddoo was unparalleled and most delicious I have ever had .So,here is the recipe of Rava Laddoo which is easy to make but exquisite in taste.Hope you like it. Ingredients-: Semolina/Rava-1 big glass Sugar -1 big glass Cardamon-4 Cashews/Kaju-as per taste Raisins/Kishmis-as per taste Clarified butter/Ghee-6-10 tbsp(or as needed) Dry roast sooji in a wok.It must be roasted  up to golden colour and should not be overburnt .
