Rava Laddoo/Sooji Laddoo/Semolina Laddoo








Hi friends,
One of the traditional recipe of South India prepared during Diwali .My mother's Rava Laddoo was unparalleled and most delicious I have ever had .So,here is the recipe of Rava Laddoo which is easy to make but exquisite in taste.Hope you like it.


Ingredients-:

Semolina/Rava-1 big glass
Sugar -1 big glass
Cardamon-4
Cashews/Kaju-as per taste
Raisins/Kishmis-as per taste
Clarified butter/Ghee-6-10 tbsp(or as needed)








Dry roast sooji in a wok.It must be roasted  up to golden colour and should not be overburnt.










Grind sugar and cardamon to a fine powder in a mixie .





               Sieve them .(This part is optional)






     Grind roasted semolina/ rava to a fine powder in a mixie.



Sieve them to get a fine and smooth texture.






            Mix them together.






                                                                Heat ghee in a wok.




                                              Fry cashews and raisins.


Take a portion of  mixture of  powdered sugar and semolina.Add fried nuts .Mix well.


                                  Heat ghee in a wok/ kadai .





Pour the hot ghee to the powdered mixture.Mix well.




               Take a portion of mixture and try to make round balls.Don't add ghee at once.Add slowly.Ghee must be warm to bind laddoos.If you are unable to bind laddoos you can add more ghee.






                                               






                                        





             The laddoos must be binded slowly but steadily  with the help of palm.You can use both hands to bind laddoos.







Rava laddoos are ready .You can store this in steel container or air tight container upto a month.

BREAD PAKORA Bread Pakora Hi friends, Here I am sharing with you all an easy recipe with bread called bread pakora.Bread is readily  available in most houses .You can do  this snack very quickly not only for your kids but also for your  guests. Preparation-5 min Cooking time-5min  Ingredients-: Besan-1 cup Bread slices-4 Red chilli powder-1 tbsp Turmeric/Haldi-1/2 tsp Sabji masala-1 tbsp Oil-To fry Salt-To taste Water-to make batter                   First of all take out the sides of bread and cut them into square or triangular shapes. Take besan in a flour and add red chilli powder,turmeric,sabji masala and salt.                                    Add  water to make a thick batter(dropping consistency). Heat oil in kadai/vessel Dip a square or triangle shaped cut bread pieces in the besan batter and put in hot oil. Fry both sides till golden brown. S
