ONION /TOMATO CHUTNEY


Hi friends,
You have no vegetables at home but only a tomato and a onion then don't worry you can still prepare this awesome chutney and use it as side dish to parathas,rice .Hope you like it .




                                                


Ingredients
Onion/Pyaaz-1
Tomato/tamatar-1
Whole red chillies/ Sabut lal mirch -3-4
Split black gram/urad dhuli-1 tbsp
Curry leaves-as needed
Mustard seeds/Sarson-1 tsp
Tamarind/imli-a small piece
Salt as per taste
Asafoetida/Hing-a pinch
Oil-2 tbsp





Heat 1 tbsp oil in kadai and add 1 tbsp black gram and whole chillies .Fry till light brown and keep

In the same oil fry sliced onion till brown.






Now in a mixie jar grind fried onions,dal ,red chilles alongwith salt and tamarind.




Grind to afine paste adding very little water.



Again heat 1 tbsp of oil in kadai and add mustard seeds,curry leaves and hing .Add the grinded paste of onion and tomato and mix well .Cook for three to four minutes.




Onion and tomato chutney is ready.You can now serve it with rice,rotis,parathas.
