MYSORE PAK

MYSORE PAK

Hello friends,
Welcome to my blog!!
Today I will be sharing recipe of Mysore Pak.Its a famous recipe of South India generally prepared during important functions like marriage, birthdays,Diwali etc.You do not need special days to prepare it though .Mysore Pak needs minimum ingredients and can be made under fifteen minutes too.Hope you like it.

Preparation time-5 min
Cooking time-under 15 min
Makes around 15-16 medium size pieces

INGREDIENTS

GRAM FLOUR /BESAN -1 GLASS(I HAVE TAKEN ONE BIG STEEL GLASS)
SUGAR -1 GLASS (ONE BIG STEEL GLASS )
WATER -AS REQUIRED
OIL-1 SMALL GLASS
GHEE/CLARIFIED BUTTER-1 SMALL GLASS

PROCEDURE-

Firstly we shall sieve gram flour /bresan.

Next we grease a tray or any container with ghee.

Make a sugar syrup of one thread consistency.

Once we reach one thread consistency we add besan little by little to  the sugar syrup.

In another pan we heat oil and ghee together and keep it ready to
be poured in besan and sugar syrup.

We shall now pour hot oil and ghee mixture in regular intervals onto besan and sugar syrup.
We must keep stirring the mixture continuously.

Now the mixture has left sides of kadai and has become a porous and has formed into a lump .Now its time  to pour in greased tray.

If you want you can level the mixture with a spatula or a bowl.

Mark shapes according to your choice. But cut only once the mixture cools completely.

Mysore Pak is  ready .It can be stored in air container and enjoyed for more than a week.

Do try this recipe in your kitchen.
