DAL MATAR KHICHDI / PEAS KHICHDI




           


Hi friends,
 A healthy dal and rice dish made more delicious  and healthier with peas.A comfort food for people suffering from sickness . It  can be prepared easily in cooker too.Its also a one pot meal for bachelors or busy office goers .Hope you like it.


INGREDIENTS

RAW RICE - 1/2 CUP
SPLIT GREEN GRAM / MOONG DAL - 1/2 CUP
PEAS / MATAR - 1/2 CUP
TOMATO -1
GREEN CHILLIES -2 -3
WATER -2 & 1/2 CUPS TO 3 CUPS
SALT - TO TASTE
GHEE - 1 TBSP
GRATED GINGER - 2 TSP
CUMIN SEEDS / JEERA - 2 TSP












 PROCEDURE


                               We shall heat ghee.Add cumin seeds,grated ginger.Saute for sometime.





                                                           Add peas .Saute for sometime.




                                                 Add rinsed and drained rice and gram .


                                                        Add green chillies and tomato.




                                                                            Add water .

Add turmeric and salt and coriander leaves.








Pressur cook for 2 to 3 whistles.





                                   Dal Matar Khichdi / Peas Khichdi is ready to be served.     





                         Serve Khichdi hot with curd ,chutney or vegetable fry or curry of your choice.
