Hello all,
Today I tried namkeen /savouries in crescent shapes like that of cashew nuts called 'Maida Kaju Namkeen'.It was crispy and tasty .The shapes also attract children to them.Its great to serve as evening snack.


PREPARATION TIME :20 MIN
COOKING TIME -5-6 MIN PER BATCH


INGREDIENTS

FLOUR /MAIDA -1 CUP
SEMOLINA /FLOUR -1 TBSP
CARROM SEEDS /AJWAIN -1 TSP
OIL -1/4 CUP+FOR DEEP FRYING
WATER -AS NEEDED




PROCEDURE

                                  In a vessel take  flour,carrom seeds,oil and salt .








Mix well .


                                      You must be able to bind the flour together.



                                   
                          Now with help of little water prepare a stiff dough .Rest it for 15 -20 min.




   Now prepare small balls.Roll it out like chappati and with help of cutter or bottle cap make crescent shapes like that of cashew nut.






Now deep fry in oil.Let it become crispy both sides.




                       After the namkeen cools store in air tight containers.Serve as evening snacks.
