(Round cheese balls dipped in sugar syrup)




Hi all,

Hereby sharing a recipe of  'raj bhog' - a type of sweet dipped in sugar syrup.A famous Indian sweet made with paneer and sugar almost like the famous rasagulla. This sweet requires very less ingredients. 

INGREDIENTS 

Milk - Full cream 1 litre
Dry fruits - little cashews and raisins
Sugar
Water to make syrup
Cardamons-2-3
Rose water - 2/3 drops


Recipe Instructions


1)Boil 1 L full cream milk /cow's milk.After 3-4 minutes curdle it with vinegar/lemon juice/curd

2)Then drain the curdled milk with help of cloth.

3)Wash the paneer well with cold water and then squeeze out extra water and leave the paneer for 15 to 30 minutes

4 )Take out the paneer from cloth and put it in a large bowl or plate.Add 1 tsp maida / cornflour and 1 tsp sooji,little yellow colour.Mash the paneer well with palms of hand for 5-6 minutes.In the end you will get a smooth texture of paneer.

5)Make round shapes of paneer and stuff chopped cashews and raisins and close without cracks.Cover them with wet cloth.

6)In a pan take 1 cup sugar and 6 cups water and let it come to boil.Add 2 cardamons.The sugar must get dissolved in the water.

7)Now as the water is boiling slowly drop one by one all paneer balls into the pan.Close the lid and don't open till 4 minutes.The gas  flame must be high to medium high.The water must be boiling when we drop paneer balls.

8) After 4 min slowly turn sides.

9 )In 10-12 minutes the rasagullas would have doubled up in size.In 15-20 minutes your rasagullas would be ready.switch off the gas.Add 3-4 drops of rose water.Close the lid and let it stay like that for 3-4 hrs.




10 )Then transfer the rasagullas in a bowl and keep in fridge and serve after 1/2 hr.
