Paneer Butter Masala

 PANEER BUTTER MASALA


Recipe for 4-5 people

INGREDIENTS

Paneer -250 g

Milk -1/3 cup

Cashews -5-6

Onions-2 medium sized

Tomatoes-2 medium sized

Garlic/ginger -2 tsp

Turmeric -2 tsp

Red chilli powder-2 tsp

Coriander powder -3 tsp

Kitchen king/paneer masala -2 tsp

Cumin powder-1 tsp

Kasuri Methi -1 tsp

Fresh cream - 1 tbsp

Butter - 1 tbsp

Whole spices-  cinnamon, cardamon

Oil -2 tbsp or as required

Coriander leaves

Salt to taste



Process :

In a mixer jar grind onions,garlic and ginger and cashews.

Heat 2 tbsp oil add 2 tsp cumin seeds, 2 cloves,1 small cinnamon,2 small green cardamon.Saute for 1/2 minute and then add ready paste of onion,ginger garlic.

Add dry spices one by one.

Grind the tomatoes in mixer jar.

Once onion paste is cooked add tomato paste .

Once the masala is cooked well add little salt to taste.Add milk and little water and let the masala simmer for 3-5 minutes.

Once the masala is cooked well add small pieces of paneer . Add salt to taste.1 tsp garam masala and kasuri Methi.

Once the masala comes to boil add fresh cream 1 tbsp and mix well.Add butter.After 2-3 minutes switch off the gas.Paneer butter masala is ready.You can also garnish this sabji with freshly chopped coriander leaves.

Serve this paneer masala with hot parathas, rotis , chappatis,pulao .

Sweet Pongal

SHAKKARPONGAL / SWEET PONGAL Good day friends , I prepared Shakkarapongal / sweet pongal.A South Indian delicious sweet dish most importantly prepared during Pongal.Its also prepared as prasadam /prasad on special occasions at every South Indian homes and temples.It is one of my most favourite dish.I even don't mind standing in queue to get sweet pongal as prasadam in temples.
