Hello friends,
Once again I am sharing a traditional recipe of South India -Dal Vada /Parappu vadai.This dish is prepared on very special occasions .It is made on birthdays,anniversary,marriage or any other religious festivals or community functions.Hope you like it .


Ingredients

Items soaked (for 45 min to 1 hr) in a vessel  -:
 Tuvar / Arhar  dal (split pigeon pea)- 1 small glass
Chana da ( split chick pea)l  -1 small glass
Urad  dal (split black gram)-1/2  glass
Rice -1 tbssp

Whole red chillies-3-4
Curry leaves-as required
Hing (asofoetida)-a  pinch
Salt as per taste
Oil to fry


Glass used for measurement





Grind soaked dal alongwith red chillies,curry leaves,hing,salt and curry leaves with no water if required try to add very little water..



Grind the dal coarsely 




Heat oil




Make round patties.



Flatten the patties.



Put carefully in hot oil to fry.



Flip both sides to cook evenly.




                  Serve the vadas /vadai with coconut chutney or sauce.
