VEGETABLE PULAO
(IN PRESSURE COOKER)
Vegetable Pulao |
Ingredients
Bamati rice-1 cup (Washed and soaked in water for half an hour)
Oil-1 big tbsp
Vegetables cut into small pieces-beans,carrot
Peas-4-5 shelled
Green chillies-2 (slit)
Dry spices-1 Bay leaf,1 tsp Cumin seeds,3 Cloves,1 small stick of cinnamon,nutmeg
Ghee/Clarified butter-1 tbsp
Water-2 cups
Dry fruits-as per taste
Salt to taste
Heat oil in pressure cooker and add dry spices.
Add vegetables and saute them.
Drain the soaked Bamati rice in a strainer and add to cooker.
Mix well and saute the rice for 3-4 min .
Add water .
Add salt and ghee.
Mix well and close the lid and let let one whistle come.
After one whistle you can see that rice is wonderfully cooked .
Vegetable pulao is ready to be served hot.
